High Performance Tyres
Helping you with your high performance tyres is pretty straight forward but they need to be correct so we only offer professional advise and we do not fit tyres that potentially might effect the vehicles performance. As the name states, high performance tyres are for high performance vehicles who have the extra horse power and torque through the engine and body, these vehicles need tyres to stand up to the demand of this.
Alot of the high performance tyres are homolgated by the manufacturer of the vehicles. This means the car manufacturer has designed the performance of the car with the tyres in mind and they fit and suggest the best tyre for the car. This will have a stamp on the sidewall of the tyre. For example, Audi makes a certain model, and they have tested have asked Goodyear (for example) to design a tyre to fit to that vehicle to give the maximum performance from the car. Once this has been designed and tested, Audi would give it a seal of approval, to which Goodyear will have an 'AO' homologated on the sidewall. This tyre will then be fitted in the factory on all models of this car and this is then known as the original equipment (OE).
Other homologations are, Mercedes - MO. BMW - This would have a * mark. Porsche - N1, N2, N3, N4.
